Why “Wonderland”?
Ask Freddy W. why he named his one-man company something as unabashed as Freddy’s Wallpaper Wonderland, and he’ll tell you about the first accent wall he ever hung — a deep teal botanical in a client’s plain beige rental. When the last strip went up and the seams disappeared, the homeowner stood in the doorway and said the room looked like “a completely different world.” That reaction — the moment a plain box of a room turns into somewhere you actually want to be — is the whole business. Wonderland isn’t a gimmick; it’s the standard the work has to hit.
Freddy started hanging paper more than nine years ago, apprenticing on commercial vinyl crews where a crooked seam meant redoing a hundred feet of corridor. That training shows in the details: walls checked with a level, not eyeballed; patterns matched across outlets and window returns; adhesives chosen for the material, not whatever’s in the van. Today his work spans Sacramento’s plaster-walled bungalows in East Sacramento and Land Park, new builds in Elk Grove and Roseville, and commercial spaces from Midtown restaurants to El Dorado Hills medical suites.
Freddy’s Wallpaper Wonderland is deliberately small. You get one point of contact from quote to final walkthrough, the person who quotes your job is the one who shows up to do it, and nothing leaves the schedule until the wall is right.
